LOWER COLUMBIA SCHOOL GARDENS
Cultivating the values of lifelong learning, sustainability, health, and community.
The PTO and community, with the help of Lower Columbia School Gardens, have come together to bring a 7000 sq. ft. garden to Kelso's Huntington Middle School.
The garden teaches the values of hard work, environmental stewardship, and a healthier lifestyle. Integrating the garden with the academics of science, math, and home & family health provides kids the possibility of pride of ownership.
There is much enthusiasm among volunteers and staff to provide a hands-on learning experience for the students.
